SepCity Portal Solutions is a web based content management system. The system is fully controlled using a web-based user interface. Meaning an administrator of the website will be able to login to his/her account from anywhere with an Internet connection and add, edit and remove content.

LICENSING
SepCity offers the portal software in two different ways of licenses. One way is to host the software with SepCity and pay a monthly fee and includes the web hosting, automatic updates, server monitoring and backup in one monthly price. The second way is to purchase a license where you can host on your own server or with another web hosting company.

The requirements to host SepCity Portal Software is a Windows Server running IIS 5.0 or later, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later and the .NET Framework 2.0.
The portal software is written using mostly Visual Basic .NET, and C# code. SepCity uses a 3rd party chat server that offers audio/video conferencing. This software is not available by SepCity in your license if you purchase the software to install someplace else.

FEATURES
The main aim of the Portal / CMS software is to allow a webmaster to create a community-based portal, with an automated web site allowing users and editors to post news items (user-submitted news items are selected by editors). Users can comment on these articles using the comments system.
Modules may be added to the portal system, allowing the webmaster to add more features such as forums, polls, classifieds, event calendar, auction, messaging and much more. The whole system is maintained by administrators using the web-based administration section.
