Soccer Can Be Good For You

By: John Salmon

The sport of soccer continues to grow the USA as evidenced by the growing number of young people involved in the game and participation in numbers MLS soccer across the country. It is a good thing because it provides an excellent opportunity for all children, regardless of height, short, thin, plump, shy, intelligent, or whatever, to gain the benefits of being part of a team where everyone can be a super star on a given day.

All sports physical and provide other benefits for those who take part. But soccer offers much more to help young people develop, interact with others, and simply having fun, children something to do, after all.

One of the greatest things about soccer is that every child can kick a soccer ball and learn to do well in a short period of time. There is no special talents needed. If a boy or a girl can run, he or she can do with a soccer ball at his feet. Any child can acquire basic skills in dribbling, passing and shooting a soccer ball with minimal time and effort spent. This means that every child who wants to play soccer can do and be at a level of most players on the field.

Children do not need to be 7 feet high leaping gazelles or refrigerator-sized raw or multi-talented athletes to play on a soccer team and perform at least as well as most teammates. soccer is a team sport pure. Not a player, regardless of talent, can win a game on his own. Win a game of soccer requires the participation of each of his teammates on the field. This allows each child to the team touch the ball and often contribute to making plays, whatever their level of competence.

This really helps build a child's self-esteem, which can be seen in the confidence displayed on the ground. Something as simple as a good passer or stop the ball going to an opponent can make a child feel good about himself or herself and makes them even better accomplish. And they have many opportunities to do so. A good game attracts all missing.

I have seen shy boys and girls in flower soccerers affirmed in a few weeks. Because they have learned to touch the ball and help the team. And when they win, each child feels part of this victory. And when they lose, they feel proud to have played as well as they could and look forward to the next game when he started all. Every child knows that in the next game, he or she will be right out there in the middle of things helping his team win and maybe even score the winning goal or make a winning record.

It is also something about his parents at games of soccer. Only the sport of soccer has a "Mom", a mother of soccer. These wonderful ladies who shuttle their children back and forth games of soccer every weekend, are the soul of youth soccer in America. Soccer moms have played an important role in the popularity of youth soccer and their involvement in sport has helped many young people have a part of a team.

There are many resources on the web on other benefits of youth soccer, including fitness and injury prevention. One of my favorite soccer is http://www.SoccerCountry.com Web sites where you can also find all sorts of things about soccer, soccer news, statistics and tables soccer.

In addition to those highlighted in this article, soccer offers other advantages for young people. Think of all that walking and stopping and turning. Ideal for the lungs, muscles and mind. And there are so many more.

If your child is not playing soccer, what do you expect? It will be the number one sport in the USA ultimately, just as it is in all other countries around the world. Get your son and daughter on the soccer field as soon as possible. He would like to get out of difficulty, strengthen their confidence, keep healthy, and helps them grow in the right direction. I know. I raised four children as soccer began playing five years and have seen the development provided by the soccer through their adolescence as the coach of their soccer teams.

Each city and county probably has an association of youth soccer. It is not difficult to find a team for your son and daughter. You never know, one of your children could be the next David Beckham. And if you are a mother, maybe you'll Soccer Mom of the year.
