The best thing to do is consider all the elements you will need (radial heat capacity, safety features, heat source, etc.) and stick to that. Why bother installing an umbrella into your heater if it’s already marked as waterproof?
There are hundreds of designs, styles, and varieties of electric patio heaters available in the market but there will only be one that is perfectly you. If a heater looks and feels right for your next door neighbor, chances are it wouldn’t really have the same effect in your home. It may seem taxing to flip through all the possible heaters out there for you, but in the end, it is you who will be sitting on that patio more than anyone else.
